Texas' largest city, Houston offers museums, sports, the performing arts, and the splendid Gulf Coast—in short, something for everyone.

When to visit Houston

With warm temperatures and affordable prices throughout the year, there's never really a wrong time to visit Houston. The most popular times are in the spring and fall, when the weather is mild and the days are bright. Summers can get hot, sending many people to cool off near the Gulf of Mexico. Winters are cooler and bring fewer visitors, except during the holiday season when many people come to shop.

Houston is the nation’s fourth largest city, home to 2 million people and a hub of international businesses. Houston’s leaders are also focusing their attention on making their city not only a great place to live, but a great place to visit as well. Houston has become a legendary travel destination that can be summed up in one word — more. As an urban vacation spot, we have more places to go, more people to see and more fun to be had than any other city in the south. Relaxing is easy, with great golf courses, beautiful parks, sumptuous spas, inspiring museums and spectacular shopping. And great family fun.
