The third-largest city in Florida, Tampa is a hub offering 26 miles of coastline.

With its warm weather and outdoor activities, Tampa attracts visitors throughout the year. The most popular time to visit is January, when people from the North escape the cold temperatures and several major festivals take place. The spring is also a favorable visiting time due to mild weather and major events. The fall brings cooler temperatures and big Halloween celebrations. Summers see fewer crowds, warmer temperatures, and lower prices.

Florida's small city of Tampa is full of charm and character, and Tampa sits on a major estuary halfway down the west coast of Florida. Tampa is home to a busy port and is close to the historic Ybor City, famous for its cigar production and tobacco industry.

Boasting several notable tourist attractions, including Busch Games theme park, the Florida Aquarium and many superb museums, Tampa stands across the bay from St. Petersburg, with plenty of beach opportunities within easy reach of central Tampa, including St. Pete Beach and Clearwater Beach. Tampa is divided into a number of regions, including Downtown Tampa, the Cultural District, the Hyde Park Historic District and Tampa's Waterfront District.
